  1. Recently read COMFORT OBJECT through a friend in Arizona. From now on, I will simply buy your stuff on my own. You are JUST as hot as a novelist as I find you otherwise, my dear!

    Thank you!

    Ron

  2. I loved Comfort Object. Very well written, and entertaining…not to mention hot. I read from Kindle. Are you planning on putting your other books in the Kindle format? I would love to read more!!!!

  3. Hi Carrie! Thanks! Regarding your Kindle question, they all come out on Kindle eventually, although it normally takes 2-3 months after they release at the main sites. So I suspect Firebird will be available in the Kindle store within the next month or so, and Deep in the Woods soon after that. So stay tuned. :-)

  4. Though I’m not a guy I did enjoy Club Mephisto even if I wouldn’t want to live like her. So I’m looking forward to the sequels. By the way, your e-mail address doesn’t exist any more, does it?

  5. Hi Ingrid. Yes, I agree, I wouldn’t want to live like her either but as a fantasy, it’s pretty hot, lol. I am planning to get to work on the sequel very soon. And yes, my email is still annabeljosephnovels (@) gmail.com. Just make sure you don’t put any spaces or anything. I just do that to head off spammers. :-) .

  6. Hi Liz! Yes, I’m actually working on Mason’s story right now, which will be the final book in the Comfort series. It’s going to be called Command Performance. I love Mason so it’s a fun job to write it. I’ll keep everyone posted as to when it will be coming out!

  7. Just finished Burn For You, in a word, AWESOME. I want more!!!!
Truly, each book keeps getting better and better, Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with your fans.

  8. Aw, thanks so much. I have no plans to stop writing anytime soon. :-) I’m glad you liked Burn For You!! it was a very emotional book to write…

    • HI Claire! I expect it to be out this fall. Don’t have an exact date. I am guessing September/October time frame. :-)

      • HAHA! I hate to say it but I think October is more likely. It took longer to finish The Edge of the Earth than I thought. I will say I just got Mason’s story back from a beta reader with some great comments so I’m ready to get back to work on it.

I can see you are going to stay on me about this. ;-) HAHA!

      • Heh heh. For sure it will be out by October 31, because I plan to do a “flash” 99-cent sale on all four Comfort series books that day. So…almost time! Hang in there!

  9. I heard you have/are writing a book with a deaf heroine in it. I was wondering what the title of the book is??? I am very much into Deaf “Romance” novels, short stories etc atm..

    Thanks.

    Mellow

    • Hi Mellow! The book with the deaf heroine is Odalisque. It’s the third book in the Comfort series but it’s written so it can also be read independently of the other ones. I hope you’ll check it out. You can find the ebook just about everywhere but the paperback is easiest to find at Amazon.com.

  10. I found your books through Amazon. I read the first book in the comfort series, and I was hooked. I absolutely love your writing. Your stories are compelling, heroines strong yet vulnerable, and the struggles are authentic. Thank you for bringing these stories to life. I look forward to reading more!

  11. I have only purchased/read Lilymine and Cait and the Devil so far but WOW! I really hope you write more like that! I am a historical romance nut and your books to me are like Kathleen Woodiwiss (my all-time fav) meets something 10 times better than 50 shades! Please keep it up!

    • Will do, Jennifer! I’m working on a new historical right now…hope to have it out around January next year. I love contemporaries but sometimes I need my historical fix! You’ll love this next one. It will be called “Disciplining the Duchess.” Heh heh. ;-)

And THANK YOU for the Woodiwiss comparison. I idolize her so you totally made my night.

    • HI Marcia. Yes, I’m sorry but since I’m not with a large publisher I can’t arrange my books for pre-order. I promise to announce it everywhere as soon as it’s available so you won’t miss it.

  12. Just finished Command Performance! Loved it. So worth the wait. I also loved hearing about how everyone else was doing…including little Keats!! :)

I definitely need more of your stories…when is your next deadline?! POKE POKE POKE!!!!!

    • HAHAHA. All this poking, I’ll be black and blue! Well, you’ll be happy to know I have no less than FOUR books in progress right now. As for when one of them will be ready…or which book it will be…I just don’t know yet. I promise I’ll share when I know, though. ;-)

  13. Wow!! I have just recently finished the Comfort Series and the first two Club Mephisto books. I absolutely loved them. There are so many layers to your characters and their relationships. I found the forward interesting in the Club Mephisto books stating that “This book is not a romance. Well, not to most people.” You are probably correct that the majority of people would not find the romance in it. But, I guess I am not “most people.” I loved getting the two perspectives of the stories – Molly’s and Mephisto’s. That was such a great idea. How many times does a reader wonder what the events look like from another’s perspective? The journeys are so honest and raw. I just purchased Burn For You, and am about to start it as soon as I can stop writing this comment! I am so glad to have found your books. They truly touch me… Thanks so much for the time and effort and love that you put into your characters and their stories.
    Patti

    • HI Patti!

Thanks for writing the wonderful note, it was great to wake up and find it this morning. I’m glad you saw the romance in the Mephisto books. They are very dear to my heart and if you enjoyed those first two I think you’ll really love Burn for You. I hope so anyway!

I appreciate your support so much and I hope you’ll spread the word if someone is out there looking for BDSM romance books. :-)

  14. I’ve read all your books, except the followons for Club Mephisto. While reading Command Performance I finally figured out why I didn’t finish Club Mephisto. You are SOOO good at making Kai and Jeremy and Nell and Constance and Lucy and Molly, et al come alive in my head; I wanted her to have more than a one dimensioal life too much to continue reading it. Anyway, it’s still on my Kindle along with all your other works, at the very top of my list of favotate authors, and I’ll prabably go to back to it after finishing Command Performance.
    Thanks for sharing with me.
Have you ever thought of a chartered kink cruze, maybe to Alaska. Boat Captains have all this authority, you know.
Here’s hoping you’ve had as much fun writing as I’ve had reading.
    . D

    • As another huge AJ fan, my advice to you is to trust Annabel. She won’t let you down. Book 2 is from Mephisto’s POV and then book 3 is what happens next….;) They are really good and you will love both Ms by the end. :)

    • D, I know exactly what you mean about Club Mephisto. It was really weird for me to stay in one POV the whole time. I think that’s the only book I wrote where I did that. It was really an experiment and I do feel it’s more “finished” now that I wrote the followups. I think you’ll really love seeing the other POV, and remember, Molly’s Lips is free at Smashwords so there’s no risk. :-)

Now…I will have to think about that kinky cruise, lol.

  15. Hi
i have read all your books and we need more comfort series and more club mephisto please. Or similar. I loved Comfort Series.

    • Hi Angela, thanks! I’m working on a couple more series… I think series are neat because you can really get to know the characters. I know for a fact there will be at least one spinoff from the Comfort books. I started outlining a book about one of Kyle’s brothers but I have a few books to finish before that. Stay tuned. ;-)

  16. Hi Annabel
Thank you for sharing all your wonderful stories! I am almost done reading all your books, 4 to go! Favorites so far, the Comfort Series, Fortune, Mercy.
I can’t seem to fine on your website what you have planned next. I did receive your snippet on Sunday, thank you.
Do you do public appearances to discuss your books?

    Take Care
    Nilsa( Puerto Rico)

    • Hi Nilsa! I will have to put a Coming Soon section at the top of my book page. I’m actually planning to get a new site design soon that will hopefully make everything easier to find.

My next two books will be Disciplining the Duchess and Waking Kiss. Disciplining the Duchess will be out this month!

I do some public appearances but only things nearby. I’ll be at Frolicon in Atlanta over Easter weekend, Authors after Dark in Savannah in August, and then the Indie Conference in Tennessee in October. Right now that’s all I’ve got going on. :-)

thanks for your kind words and for supporting my work!!

  17. Annabel,
Just finished reading, Discipling the Duchess, extraordinary!! Thank you for a great read.
Harmony’s character is the way to go, just being a kind and interesting person. I laughed so much with the scene at the dinner, when she is trying to save the dog. That was totally hilarious!
Courtland’s character was awesome, falling in love the moment he saw Harmony, as any couple they had there differences, but at the end love prevailed. What a surprise with Courtlands MOM, I would have never seen that coming, eventhough I knew something was up with the letters, Mr. Barret. The epilogue was outstanding, three boys!!, a beautiful happy ending. Going to start Firebird, now. I am almost done with all of your books, I have enjoyed all of them. Congratulations on your successes and look forward to reading more of your stories.
    Nilsa

    • Thank you Nilsa! And you know, I was surprised about the mom too when I was writing her. I didn’t think from the start that she was going to change so much, but as I wrote I couldn’t leave her being a typical nasty villain all the way to the end. I knew there was more going on beneath her. I felt like that book had a double happy ending.

I think you’ll like Firebird. I’m working on another couple of ballet books right now. :-) I hope to have them out this summer.

  18. I’ve enjoyed all of your books so much! No other writers compare, and I am sad to say, I’ve read them all at least twice! I keep looking for my next, “Annabel” but you are truly and original and a highly gifted writer!

  19. Also, I was wondering if you knew what your demographic is? I was wondering if many males read your books? I have been tempted to ask my husband to read one, just so he could see what I find so erotic, but didn’t know if that would seem crazy!

    • Thank you so much, Tara! Your words give me a lot of encouragement. :-)

As for my demographic, I definitely have male readers. Strangely, of the ones I’ve spoken to, almost all of them admit that they read them to figure out what women find hot, or perhaps what women look for in a dominant partner. I think that’s pretty cool–we read them to get turned on, but men read them for “research.” YES, ask your husband to read one, lol. See what develops from that. ;-) Hopefully some really hot stuff.
